    Sergey is it possible for you upload a video on how to add friends and such with parse?

    • hmm… It is just today that I got notification I have a comment from you… A more detailed description of this feature will help me understand what exactly you are looking to implement.

    I wondering how you sent me an email link for this page from someone out of my contacts list. Maybe that would be a good tutorial.

    • 🙂 this is interesting.. I cannot recall myself sending a message to this page from someone else’s email address. Whenever I need to inform blog subscribers about the new video I use MailChimp service to send out email messages but I always do it on behalf of myself “Sergey Kargopolov” & “Swift Developer Blog”… do you think you can forward me that message to sergey.kargopolov at gmail dot com?

      • OneCar Wood

        Yes I will I found it weird myself since I signed up to recieve your emails anyway.

    Please make a courses app for education purpose, such as udemy or coursera, where courses are displayed and the student can pick courses and get details and read resources. The app data should be stored within the app, Small version tutorial would be really good for students to learn it.

    Hi Sergey
    i got this error

    Error:thread-1-exc-bad-instruction-code-exc-1386-invop-subcode-0x0

    while creating the sign in page

    Here is the code:

    func queryToServer(urlSource:String, postString:String, result:(dataResult:NSData!, errorResult:NSError!) ->()){

    let url:NSURL = NSURL(string: urlSource)!

    let request = NSMutableURLRequest(URL: url, cachePolicy: NSURLRequestCachePolicy.ReloadIgnoringCacheData,timeoutInterval: 10)

    request.HTTPMethod = “POST”

    request.HTTPBody = postString.dataUsingEncoding(NSUTF8StringEncoding)

    let session = NSURLSession.sharedSession()

    session.dataTaskWithRequest(request){(data,response,error) -> Void in

    dispatch_async(dispatch_get_main_queue(),{ () -> Void in

    if error == nil {

    result(dataResult: data, errorResult: nil)

    }else{

    result(dataResult: nil, errorResult: error)

    }

    })

    }.resume()

    }

    //Extract Data

    func extractDataWithNSDictionary(data:NSData, result:(statusResult:String!,messageResult:String!,errorResult:NSError!) -> ()) {

    do{

    var errorparse:NSError!

    let json:NSDictionary! = try! NSJSONSerialization.JSONObjectWithData(data, options: NSJSONReadingOptions.MutableContainers) as! NSDictionary

    if errorparse != nil {

    result(statusResult: nil, messageResult: nil, errorResult: errorparse)

    }else {

    let resultStatus:String = json[“status”] as! String

    let resultMessage:String = json[“message”] as! String

    result(statusResult: resultStatus, messageResult: resultMessage, errorResult: nil)

    }

    }

    }

    could you please help me what is the problem in the code

    • I think there is no need to errorparse:NSError anymore…
      Try this way:

      do

      {
      let json = try NSJSONSerialization.JSONObjectWithData(data!, options: .MutableContainers) as? NSDictionary

      // Your code here

      } catch {
      print(error)
      }

      • Aravind

        still i am getting the same error at result status and while debuging in json it shows nil

        • Aravind

          and Liam getting one more error : nscocoaerrordomain code=3840

    Hello, I’m worried because Parse is going to die, is there another solution like Parse?

  • Fabi

    Hi Sergey,

    did you have a method/tutorial how to show the content of an excel document in a table view?

  • OneCar Wood

    I watch a number of video tutorials including yours which are great. I am having trouble with once I set up a view or outlet what do I do from there? All video on the Internet stop there what do I do from there? I am talking about I put a once view in and the I want to click that and go to the next page that has a couple choices and then you click one amd that does what you want like set up a alarm. I am having the hardest time figuring out how to do this. Any guidance would be appreciated. Maybe it’s just me but I never see this in videos just how to set stuff up not actually how to go through the process. Thanks and any help would be awesome!
